Ryan Brazeal – Geomatics Technology Manager – Caltech Surveys Ltd.

Ryan is from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, where he was first exposed to surveying through a family member’s share in a local land surveying firm. He received a BS degree in geomatics engineering from the University of Calgary and an MS in geomatics from the University of Florida. He hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in geomatics.

Ryan is licensed as an engineer, surveyor, and project management professional. Previously, he was an instructor and program head in the geomatics engineering technology program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic (read our profile of the surveying program at SIAST), where he twice received teaching excellence awards.

He is the father of three beautiful girls who keep him very busy. He also runs a not-for-profit organization, Junior Pi School, on computing and electronics for kids, and has a passion for 3D printing technology. He ran his first full marathon in September of 2011.
