GoGeomatics organizes monthly get-togethers for young surveyors in different cities across Canada; Lisa-Jen Ferrato has been a GoGeomatics group leader in Edmonton since 2016, instrumental in bringing the community together for monthly networking events. 

According to one of her nominators, she’s also one of the most accomplished young geomatics professionals in Canada.

Among Lisa-Jen’s geospatial specialties are research in remote sensing, spatial analysis, digital image processing, image analysis, GIS, conservation project management, spatial database management, geo-statistical kriging, watershed delineation, web mapping, and Google fusion tables.

She holds a master’s in spatial analysis with a focus on remote sensing from Ryerson University, and her research paper won as Best Paper: “Comparing multispectral and hyperspectral imagery for land classification of the Lower Don River, in Toronto.”
