Natalie Martinez stands out among the multiple nominations for alumni (and students) of the excellent surveying program of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus. The surveying and topography degree program covers property surveying and boundary law, topographic surveying and location of infrastructure, surveying to support engineering design and land use planning, and more— a comprehensive program that produces highly competitive jobs candidates.
Alum Natalie Martinez continued her education with a post-graduate GIS certification from Penn State University and has worked as a surveyor and GIS engineer in both the public and private sectors. Projects of note where Natalie gained praise for her work include the modernization of spatial data for national military cemeteries and a major dam upgrade. Natalie’s current position with Corps of Engineers encompasses boundary and engineering surveying, GIS, and application of advanced geomatics technologies.
