Natalie Hobbs serves on the Vanguard Cabinet of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), the international nonprofit association of GIS practitioners. The Cabinet, formed in 2011, seeks to engage and support young GIS practitioners and professionals. Internationally recognized and lauded for her work in these fields, Natalie’s education, work, and career are a splendid example for young geospatial professionals, and she is a natural fit for the outreach initiatives of URISA.
Natalie earned her bachelor’s degree in geography with geology and her master’s and doctorate in geoinformatics from the University of the West Indies, and she is vice president of the knowledge services division of Spatial Innovision, a prominent provider of geospatial solutions for the Caribbean region.
