Software Development Engineer at Esri, Inc.

Originally from Slovenia, Bojan Savric now works as a software engineer for the Esri projection engine team in southern California. He recently graduated with a PhD in geography, a minor in computer science, and a geographic information sciences graduate certificate from Oregon State University. Before moving to America, Bojan received his diploma degree in geodetic engineering from the University of Ljubljana.

His main research interests are map projections, mathematical techniques in cartography, and the development of tools for cartographers. Bojan is the author of the Projection Wizard, an online map projection selection tool, and co-author of several map projections. He is also a member of the International Cartographic Association Commission on Map Projections.

In his spare time, Bojan enjoys geocaching, cooking, and exploring California with his girlfriend and part-time dog.
