Jacky Chow is a passionate and talented researcher in the fields of sensor fusion, robotics, machine learning, calibration, biomedical imaging, and numerical optimization. His work covers a broad scope of applications, from calibrating omnidirectional cameras for robot vision to using photogrammetric techniques for monitoring of burns patients.
Although he has already attained an astounding amount of academic degrees (a recent Doctor of Medicine, an MBA in international finance, and a PhD in geomatics), Chow continues to seek opportunities to learn more. He is constantly thinking of ways to apply his geospatial knowledge to solve crucial aspects of many different types of problems.
Chow also gives back to the geospatial research community by serving as a co-chair of the ISPRS SC (International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Student Consortium), acting as a lead guest editor for two journals, and regularly participating as a reviewer for books, journals, and conferences.
