Shannon Paul Hixon – Product Manager (High End) NAFTA, Leica Geosystems Inc. – Colorado, USA

If you are a customer of Leica surveying products, you probably know the name Shannon Hixon well; he has often been the go-to guy for advanced end-user inquiries, but more recently Shannon has moved into product management.

Shannon graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a civil engineering and chemical engineering dual major. After school he worked briefly for Texaco as a deep-water engineer in New Orleans, which drove him back to surveying.  

He returned to Colorado to help his father in the family surveying and construction supply business as he needed to start working with GNSS and robotic total stations. He grew that part of the business and was then hired by Leica Geosystems to help with the Western U.S.  Since then he has progressed to being the NAFTA product manager for GNSS and TPS products. 

Shannon loves coaching his three boys on a First Lego League team and two baseball teams. Whether it’s running, biking, swimming, or racing, he and his family always have something going on.
