R&D Engineer at Hemisphere GNSS
While Hemisphere GNSS has always been a major player in high-performance satellite positioning, there’s now a renewed focus on innovation, research, development, and production. R&D is a team effort, but particular kudos have been given Landon Urquhart.
Landon studied applied science at Acadia University and then earned his BS and MS at the University of New Brunswick (an institution that’s prominently featured in the worlds of geomatics, geodesy, and GNSS). Before joining Hemisphere, Landon worked as a surveyor and a researcher developing precise positioning algorithms for surveying and mapping applications, and he was a guest lecturer at Mzuzu University in Malawi. Landon has published and received awards for numerous academic research papers, including tropospheric effects on GNSS and especially precise point positioning.
