Product Manager for Trimble Business Center Office Software at Trimble Navigation
Boris Skopljak joined Trimble in 2011 in their graduate rotation program, working in application engineering and product management roles. Today, due to his passion about the software, he has become a bit of a legend among the Trimble Business Center users and support community. Earlier, he worked for cadastral and surveying engineering companies both in Croatia and the U.S. He holds an MS in geodetic science from the Ohio State University and a Dipl. Eng. degree in geodesy and geoinformatics from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
Boris believes that geospatial workflows are being increasingly driven by the deliverables, which influence the selection of sensors, software, communication protocols, and services. As the line is being blurred between an office and a field workflow, personal devices are becoming common in construction sites, coupled with industry-focused apps. This represents to Boris an opportunity for geospatial professionals to transform the industry.
Boris lives in Colorado with his wife and two boys, plays soccer with his Trimble teammates, and hikes the Colorado “14ers” (mountains over 14,000 feet).
