Sid Nair – Senior Director, Marketing and Product Management, Teletrac-Navman – California, USA
There’s a lot of talk about “the internet of things,” or IoT, but of great and lasting value is “the internet of where things are”—how better to manage assets and processes spatially. There are all sorts of ideas of how to make things better through real-time spatiality (from the nifty to the profound). But, where these ideas have to meet reality calls for capable hands of forward thinking “doers” who design and build the mechanisms that enable such navigation and location. Sid Nair is a well-known resource among these doers.
Sid is a product management leader with over a decade of experience in various transportation sectors like precision agriculture, aerospace, connected cars, and fleet management. He is called upon to lead cross-functional teams, creating strategic and product roadmaps, voice of customer (VOC) initiatives, market segmentation strategies, phase gate and agile product management, mergers and acquisition, go-to-market, branding and team building with (as colleagues note) a relentless focus on execution.
Prior to his current position at Teletrac-Navman, Sid held product management, design, and engineering positions with navigation giants that have included Trimble, Deere, Honeywell Aerospace, Magellan, and the famed Avionics Engineering Center.
