Gulich is a young professional with more than eight years of surveying and geospatial experience in the AEC industry. He is a licensed professional surveyor and mapper in Florida.
In his six-plus years at Bowman, Gulich has been involved in various UAS mapping and lidar scanning projects across the country. He oversaw the training and implementation of Bowman’s first UAS lidar system in 2018 and terrestrial mobile lidar in 2019.
He is Bowman’s UAS Program Manager within the company’s geospatial and survey groups. He has worked to formalize and scale the use of UAS within Bowman to a nationwide network of pilots and office staff to service their clients. He has spent numerous hours focusing on working with clients and internal staff on maximizing the benefits of incorporating UAS systems and mobile lidar into project life cycles.
With the UAS field rapidly changing the remote sensing industry, Gulich performs independent testing of equipment and software for Bowman, while working closely with software and equipment manufacturers. His current interest are in machine learning and multi-platform data fusion for 3D modeling and inspecting. He is frequently on LinkedIn chiming in on the trends and announcements of the industry.
Gulich also has served as an adjunct lecturer at Penn State University for the school’s surveying engineering program, where he taught undergraduate courses.
