Nora May received her MS in surveying and geoinformatics engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary and her PhD from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science, The Ohio State University. She has several years of experience working within research as well as in a photogrammetric production environment. While a doctoral student and research associate at Ohio State, she was awarded several prestigious awards for her research work. She has an extensive list of publications in both scientific journals and conference proceedings.
Nora manages remote sensing and airborne mapping data for a firm supporting land use and natural resource management for private- and public-sector concerns worldwide; in addition to such large-scale responsibilities she teaches two graduate-level GIS courses at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
