Lindsay Renkel – Geospatial Marketing Specialist, Trimble – Colorado USA
In the not-so-recent past, segments of geospatial industries were viewed more as rigid verticals, and cross-discipline and integrated workflows were realized through innovation in applied tech. That’s when companies like Trimble began to organize under new functional divisions. Marketing a broader range of products and services could have been a real challenge, but colleagues of Lindsay Renkel (noted in nominating her) said that she excelled in the new environment.
Lindsay holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Colorado’s University of Denver. Lindsay has been with Trimble for five years and quickly developed strong working relationships with surveyors and geospatial professionals. She spearheaded the Geospatial Division’s Trimble Trusted Adviser Program and oversaw communications for multiple product launches, including the R10 GNSS receiver, V10 Imaging Rover, and UX5 UAS. The new division required a new marketing approach that was not just about old-school ad copy; Lindsay piloted some of the division’s initial participation in social media, dovetailing training, webinars, and education outreach into a complete marketing model.
